Competent use of the language

Language in use:
Students are able to understand everything they hear or read with hardly any effort at all. They can gather and combine informations from various oral and written sources and can give detailed explanations in a fluent way. He or she is now able to express ideas fluent-and spontaneously and can make out even minor differences in meaning of complexe issues.

Listening-and reading comprehension:
Students have no more difficulties to understand spoken language, regardless of whether in actual speech or in the media, even if spoken rather quickly. He or she only needs a short time to adapt to a certain accent. They can practically read any kind of written text without much of an effort, even if abstract in style or content, e.g. handbooks, secondary literature and literary works.

Speaking:
Students can participate in any kind of discussion or conversation without any effort and is able to apply and understand idioms and colloquial expressions. He or She is able to speak fluently and can express even more complex differences in meaning precisely. If any difficulties in explaining something occur, they can reconnect to the initial flow of speaking without any problem and modify without anyone taking notice. They can express their ideas on issues fluently and in a style that is appropriate to the situation; they can logically elaborate their ideas and make it easier for their listeners to recognize important aspects and to keep these in mind better.


Writing:
The studnts can write in a clear and fluent style, which is appropriate to its sake. EThey can write rather sophisticated letters and complex essays, repoprts and articles, which present an issue in a well-structured way and enable the reader to recognize the most important arguments and to keep these in mind better. They can combine and discuss secondary literature and literary works.
